ROCKLAND — One person was transported to the hospital following a motor vehicle accident on Union Street in Rockland, Thursday, Jan 10.
Though the injuries were minor and the scene was cleared in a relatively shot period of time, the closure of Union Street at the intersection with Talbot Street caused a steady stream of Route 1 southbound traffic to detour westward along Talbot to Broadway.
Just after 9 a.m., a four-door sedan and a pickup truck collided at the intersection of Union and Summer streets.
The B-shift duty crew from Rockland Fire and EMS responded to the scene, as did Rockland patrol officers, who used their cruisers as barricades at the access points to some neighborhood streets.
