Midcoast Habitat for Humanity erects memorial door to honor President Carter
ROCKPORT — Midcoast Habitat for Humanity has erected a memorial door inside the Midcoast Habitat ReStore, located at 799 West Street in Rockport, to honor the life and legacy of President Jimmy Carter. This tribute recognizes his more than four decades of dedication to Habitat for Humanity, which opened doors to brighter futures for countless families around the world.
The public is invited to visit the memorial and sign and pay tribute to President Carter and his enduring impact. The memorial will remain on display inside the ReStore to give the community an opportunity to reflect on and celebrate his profound contributions to affordable housing.
“President Carter showed us that when communities come together, extraordinary things can happen," said Tia Anderson, Executive Director of Midcoast Habitat for Humanity, in a news release. "His commitment to building homes and hope has left an indelible mark on families and communities across the globe. We are honored to celebrate his life and carry forward the work he championed so passionately.”
