ROCKPORT — The Midcoast Community Chorus "Sing to the Skies: A Celebration of American Song" winter concert has been rescheduled to Sunday, January 19, at 3 p.m., at The Strom Auditorium.
ALL TICKETS for the original date (1/12/25) will be honored. If you are not able to attend on 1/19/25 and need to request a refund, please email info@mccsings.org.
The "Dream Concert Anywhere" raffle has also been extended by one week and the drawing will happen during the concert on 1/19/25. Raffle tickets will be for sale before the concert and during intermission.
"Thank you all for your support during this unexpected challenge - we can't wait to sing for you!" said MCC, in a news release.

ROCKPORT — The Midcoast Community Chorus hosts its winter concert "Sing to the Skies: A Celebration of American Song" Sunday, Jan. 12, 2025 at 3 p.m., at The Strom Auditorium at Camden Hills Regional High School, 25 Keelson Drive, Rockport ME 04856.
"This inspirational afternoon of choral music will feature both lively and evocative songs to raise the spirits and bring our Midcoast community together," said a news release.
Co-Artistic Directors Kim Murphy and Kathryn Mahan will conduct the 100 voice chorus as they perform a selection of uplifting music that showcases a wide variety of choral works by American composers and arrangers. Accompanied on piano by Assistant Director Matthew Mainster with Phil Clement on guitar, Ezra Rugg on bass, Jeff Densmore on drums, and Maho Hisakawa on flute, the program will feature songs by George Gershwin, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Ysaye Barnwell, James Taylor, Elaine Hagenberg, Eric Whitacre and more.

The concert will feature a drawing of this year’s winner of MCC’s annual Dream Concert Anywhere Raffle. The prize is a trip for two people to attend a concert of the winner’s choosing anywhere in the world and will include airfare, one night’s hotel accommodation, and dinner up to a maximum amount of $5,000. No more than 1,000 tickets will be sold.
Tickets will be on sale in the lobby prior to the concert and during intermission, as well as in advance directly from chorus members.
The Midcoast Community Chorus will announce the recipient of their annual $5,000 grant at the concert. The grant will be presented at the MCC spring concert on June 12, 2025.
