MidCoast Ballet holds auditions for "Peter and the Wolf"
Open auditions will be held for MidCoast Ballet’s production of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, featuring students and faculty from the Bay Chamber Music School, Saturday, January 25 at Midcoast Strong Studios, 143 Maverick St., Rockland; Sunday, January 26 at Pascal Hall, 86 Pascal Ave., Rockport
2 p.m. - Beginners (ages 8 & up)
3 p.m. - Intermediate/Advanced (ages 11 & up)
Rehearsals are held on Sundays, beginning February 2, from 2 - 4 p.m., at Pascal Hall in Rockport.
Performance is April 5 and 6 at the Bay Chamber Music School in Camden.

The director, Julie Fajardo, trained with Boston Ballet, Tatiana Baboushkina, Lynn Winslow, American Ballet Theatre and the Joffrey Ballet. At 16 she was given a full scholarship to the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival where she was awarded another full scholarship to study at L’Ecole Superieure de Ballet du Quebec. After dancing with the Boston Ballet and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens in Montreal she taught for many years throughout New England and was School Principal for Jose Mateo’s Ballet Theatre, Director of Dance for the Performing Arts School of Worcester, Artistic Director of the Berkshire Foothills Ballet in Connecticut and has taught for the Walnut Hill School for the Arts, the Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival and the Boston Ballet.
