Other programs, grounds still open

Merryspring postpones upcoming Tuesday Talks

CAMDEN — Due to cautionary measures recommended by the State of Maine in regards to the recent COVID-19 pandemic, Merryspring Nature Center will be postponing the Tuesday Talk lecture series for the next 30 days. Tuesday Talks will resume as usual on Tuesday, April 14.

Because of the large crowds and close proximity of the Tuesday Talk audience, Merryspring has decided that the next four Tuesday Talk dates (March 17, March 24, March 31, April 7) will be postponed and rescheduled for later this year.

“It is our hope that these programs will take place later in the fall,” said Merryspring, in a news release.

Please note that Tuesday Talks are the only Merryspring programs that will be affected by this measure. Weekend Workshops (scheduled March 28 and April 11) will still take place due to their smaller class volume.

More information on those programs will be released in the coming weeks.

School outreach programs will continue as well, as local schools of yet have not canceled classes.

Merryspring Nature Center will remain open to the public daily from dawn to dusk, and the standard week day Ross Center hours will not be affected by these measures.
