Meet Harley and Gilda
Wow! Do we or do we not have two gorgeous girls for you this week, one at each end of the active curve.
Harley is a playful 10-month-old walker/blue tick hound who would love to be in a laid-back home, preferably one without young children. (Frankly, Dr. Brown, we don't know many homes with young children that one could call laid back.) Harley is super-sweet and loves to go on walks and cuddle.
Gilda, on the other paw, is just about as laid back as you can get. She'd like a home with no other animals, as she prefers to be the center of all the attention, and she's particularly fond of cat naps and being petted, both of which she richly deserves.
P.A.W.S. Animal Adoption Center is holding a rabies and nail-clipping clinic Saturday, May 9 from 9 to 11 a.m. at its future home at 123 John St. in Camden. Fees are $10 for rabies vaccine and $10 for nail clipping.
If you have a pet or pets in your home, try to imagine life without them. Pretty quiet and dull — No, we will not use the word peaceful. To celebrate spring and everything else, share your pet with a friend or neighbor who has none. Sometimes people don't know they have the animal gene until it stares them in the face. And if you snag a convert, bring them on down to the shelter at 146 Camden St. in Rockport . We're pretty sure we'll have the pet they want, and we're open from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday. Our phone number is 236-8702 and our website at pawsadoption.org is always open.
And thank you, as always, for your caring and support, without which we would all be way up the creek without a hint of a paddle.
