BELFAST — Waldo County General Hospital welcomes Maura Adams, MD, to its anesthesiology team.

Before coming to WCGH, Dr. Adams was an anesthesiologist at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, New Hampshire, for six years. Before that, she was a physical therapist for four years in Delaware, Florida and New Hampshire, as well as an algebra teacher in Massachusetts.

Dr. Adams earned a BS in economics with a minor in psychology, from Dartmouth College, as well as a doctorate of physical therapy from MGH Institute of Health Professions and a doctorate of medicine from the University of Vermont School of Medicine. She did her residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, New Hampshire.
