Margaret Hysom, obituary
CUSHING — Margaret B. Hysom, 89, formerly of Cushing, died June 8 at the Knox Center in Rockland. She was born Feb. 7, 1924, in Friendship to Fred and Janie Williams. She grew up in Friendship and attended local schools. She married Stanley Hysom July 2, 1941.
She was a homemaker. She loved cooking, baking and crocheting. She loved raising her family and enjoyed working in her flower gardens. She was a member of the Nazarene Church in Union. She was predeceased by her husband, who died in 1995; by a sister, Ella Verge; and by a granddaughter, Rachelle Weaver.
She is survived by two daughters, Lucinda Hutchins and her husband, Harold, of Waldoboro, and Patricia Weaver and her companion, Stanley Polchinski, of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Raymond Weaver and his wife, Carolyn, of Hendricksville, N.C., and Shawn Weaver and his companion, Maggie Massengale, of Warren; her great-grandchildren, Nicole Weaver of Orono, Lacy Massengale of Bangor and Khyllie Cochran of Warren; her sister-in-law, Dorothy Clifford of China; her brother-in-law, Woody Verge of Waldoboro; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Wednesday, June 12, at 10 a.m. at the Harbor Cemetery in Friendship.
