Maine Public Radio to highlight Camden Conference, ‘The Media Revolution: Changing the World’

    CAMDEN — On Friday, February 21, Maine Calling on Maine Public Radio will highlight this year’s Camden Conference, “The Media Revolution: Changing the World.”

    The program will air live 1-2 p.m. from the French Conference Room on Washington Street in Camden, and repeats at 8 p.m.

    The public is welcome to join the audience, but seating is limited. The speakers will examine whether and how traditional media might survive, and if so, in what form.   Hosted by Jennifer Rooks, Maine Calling is an interactive program that “features interesting conversations with interesting people.”

    Jennifer’s guests will be two speakers from this year’s conference:

    Keynote speaker, Nicco Mele is on the faculty at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics, and Public Policy at the Harvard Kennedy School and is the faculty co-chair of the Harvard Council on the Responsible Use of Artificial Intelligence; and

    -Moderator, David Brancaccio is host and senior editor of American Public Media’s Marketplace Morning Report.

The Conference takes place live at the Camden Opera House with streaming to the Strand Theatre in Rockland, the Hutchinson Center in Belfast, and USM in Portland, February 21, 22 and 23, 2020.
