Lynda Stinson, obituary
WARREN — Lynda H. Stinson, 67, of Warren, passed away peacefully Jan. 5, 2016, at home.
She was born April 23, 1948, in Newton, Mass., the daughter of Charles and Elvi Hudson.
As a young girl Lynda moved to West Rockport with her family. She graduated from Rockland High School in 1966. After high school she attended University of Maine at Farmington and graduated in 1970 with a degree in education.
She married Randy Salisbury in 1970 and together they had a son, James.
Lynda taught her entire career at MSAD 40, teaching kindergarten and first-grade. She retired in 2001 after 31 years of teaching.
Lynda met Clare Stinson in 1984 and they married in 1985 in Clinton. After their marriage they moved to Unity, where they lived until 2001, then moved to Warren.
Lynda liked art, loved to garden, loved animals, and enjoyed crocheting, knitting and painting in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles; her Aunt Eila Leach; and her stepdaughter, Andrea Lambert.
She is survived by her mother, Elvi Hudson of Owls Head; her husband, Clare Stinson of Warren; her son, James Salisbury and his wife, Angela, of Hawaii; her brothers, Larry Hudson of West Rockport and Lance Hudson of Portland; her Aunt Eini Johnston of Arizona; and her grandson, Drew Lambert of the U.S. Virgin Islands; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A celebration of Lynda's life will be announced at a later date.
