Love Lights Tree burns brightly through the holiday season in Belfast

Sun, 12/18/2022 - 9:15am

In celebration of the season, a Holiday Love Lights Tree lighting ceremony was recently held at the First Church of Belfast.  Pastors Dr. Kate Winters and Joel Krueger led a reading of the names of loved ones remembered by church members and the community at large.  A small crowd of attendees surrounded the tree with their own special love and light.

Now in our fifth year, our Love Lights Tree burns brightly through the holiday season in memory and appreciation of loved ones who have passed but remain alive in our hearts and minds.

Located in front of the Church, the Love Lights Tree is there for all to enjoy. Hundreds of lights sparkle at night – sharing a holiday glow of kindness, remembrance, and comfort.  We invite you to visit our tree and remember your own loved ones.

Many, many thanks to all who “purchased” a light with a donation in memory of their loved one.  The funds raised are used by the Church to help community members in need.  Your belief in our work and community is so important and greatly appreciated.

To everyone, we wish you a joyous holiday and a prosperous new year - may you continue to enjoy the spirit of love and light!

Sincerely,

The First Church of Belfast
