Louisa Stancioff and Spencer Albee at Strand Theatre, Jan. 10
ROCKLAND — Maine-based singer-songwriters Louisa Stancioff and Spencer Albee will take the Strand Theatre stage on Friday, Jan. 10, at 7:30 p.m. Stancioff will perform with her full band, and Albee as a duo with Zack Bence.
Louisa Stancioff was born and raised in rural Maine.
"The folk-rock singer and guitar player has emerged as a gifted writer with a cinematic eye for richly detailed, emotionally-charged character studies that grapple with the complexities of everyday life," said the Strand, in a news release.
Her debut record When We Were Looking is out now via Yep Roc Records.
Spencer Albee is a Maine-based singer, songwriter, performer and producer of alternative/indie and rock music. Since 1995, he has toured internationally, signed multiple major recording and publishing contracts, and has worked with artists ranging from David Bowie to De La Soul.
He recently produced The Ghost Of Paul Revere’s “Good At Losing Everything” which was met with wide acclaim, and is presently touring in support of his 57 song career retrospective called Time Machine 2024-2000 (containing the new single “Everybody’s Gotta Live”) and is working on his 23rd studio album, due out in the spring of 2025.
Zack Bence will perform with Albee on vocals, electric pianos, baritone guitars, ukuleles and samplers.
