Lobster Dip returns to Old Orchard Beach on Jan. 1 to benefit Special Olympics Maine
OLD ORCHARD BEACH — On Thursday, January 1, hundreds of participants will ring in the New Year by running into the Atlantic Ocean in front of The Brunswick during the 2026 Lobster Dip, a benefit for Special Olympics Maine.
Now in its 38th year, the Lobster Dip is Special Olympics Maine’s largest one-day fundraiser, according to Special Olympics Maine, in a news release. Proceeds support year-round sports training, athletic competition, health, and leadership programs for more than 5,000 athletes with intellectual disabilities across Maine.

Dip Waves: 10:30 a.m. and 12 p.m.
