Lincolnville man accused of burglary, theft to appear in court
ROCKLAND – A Lincolnville man who was arrested by Camden police for allegedly taking money from Megunticook Market in Camden, will make his initial appearance in Knox County Unified Court March 13.
Zachary Thomas, 32, was arrested Feb. 3 on four counts of theft and one count of felony burglary, said Camden Police Detective Curt Andrick.
Camden police charged Thomas on physical evidence obtained. After he was arrested, Thomas was taken to the Knox County Jail and later released on $250 cash bail.
According to the police affidavit filed in Knox County Unified Court, Thomas had previously been employed by the market and had knowledge of the store, including where cash was secured. His most recent employment was painting and doing repairs after the store was closed.
Thomas allegedly stole approximately $3,000 during a two-week period in December, said Andrick.
