Liberty Graphics’ annual art scholarship open for submissions

    LIBERTY — Liberty Graphics, environmentally conscious T-shirt printers, is currently accepting art submissions to its 24th annual $1,000 art scholarship contest. All high school seniors residing in Maine are invited to submit original works that reflect on the theme of "Art and our Natural Environment."

    Art entries must be traditional two dimensional media, reflecting on Maine's natural environment. Submissions must be postmarked by Friday, April 16. Photography, sculpture and computer-generated work cannot be considered. Each student may submit more than one piece of work.

    Entry forms are available through high school art teachers, by visiting the "About Liberty Graphics" page at lgtees.com, and by clicking the Attachment below the picture on this page.

    The award is intended to aid and encourage students in the pursuit of their artistic experiences and learning.

    The winner, and art teacher of the winner, will be announced in late April.

    Art will be returned to the artist's home in the first week of May.
