Lexi Carter, DNP, joins PBMC, WCGH Rheumatology teams

ROCKPORT — Pen Bay Medical Center and Waldo County General Hospital welcome Lexi Carter, DNP, to their Rheumatology teams.

Carter began her career as a registered nurse at Creekside Behavioral Health in Kingsport, Tennessee, where she worked for a year before moving to Holston Valley Medical Center, also located in Kingsport, for three years. From there she became a traveling nurse, working at The Johns Hopkins Hospital University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland. Most recently, she worked as travel registered nurse at Southern Maine Health Care in Biddeford.

Carter earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tennessee, in 2019, and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland.

The Rheumatology practices at PBMC and WCGH treat people of all ages with musculoskeletal and autoimmune disorders including lupus, osteoporosis and rheumatoid arthritis, among others.
