Lewiston man arrested for drug trafficking at Knox County Regional Airport

    ROCKLAND — The Knox County Sheriff’s Office and Maine Drug Enforcement Agency arrested Michael Goyette, 39, of Lewiston, Oct. 4 for trafficking in Schedule W drugs, according to a new release from Knox County Patrol Administrator Patrick Polky.

    Goyette was arrested when he arrived at the Knox County Regional Airport in Owls Head.

    He was found in possession of over 100 pills that were made to look like Oxycodone pills but are likely Fentanyl. The pills were destined for Vinalhaven where they would be sold at a street price of $60 a pill.

    He was taken to the Knox County Jail and has since been released on bail. His next court date is scheduled for Nov. 27.

    Officers from the Rockland Police Department also assisted in the investigation.
