WASHINGTON — Karen Jelenfy's Abstract Landscape paintings can be viewed at Gibbs Library from September through October 2023.

“We are all landscapes, patched together over time,” said Jelenfy, in a Gibbs news release. “I try to paint that.”

Jelenfy is an artist, writer and educator who has lived in Washington since 2005. She received a MFA in Fine Art from the San Francisco Art Institute in 1990. She is part of the "Here is Magic" mural project being unveiled September 8 at Waterfall Arts, Belfast, as well as exhibiting in the "Denizens" exhibit there from Oct 20-Dec 1.

Jelenfy will also have a solo show of her paintings at Triangle Gallery, Rockland in summer 2024. 

The Gibbs Library is located at 40 Old Union Road, in Washington Village and is open on Monday 4-7 PM; Tuesday 9-Noon and 4-7 PM; Wednesday 3-6 PM; Thursday and Saturday 9 AM-Noon.
