June art unveils two exhibits at Maine Coastal Islands Visitor Center

ROCKLAND — Maine Coastal Islands Visitor Center (9 Water St., Rockland) unveils two new exhibits Friday, June 14, from 5 to 7 p.m.
The Loaded Brush: Watercolors by Timothy James Standring features painted watercolors from in and around Knox County. This exhibit highlights his work utilizing a paint-loaded brush for heavily pigmented marks.
The Nature of Pastels, curated by The Pastel Society of Maine, features 40 pastel works from artists exploring the natural world.
