Julie LaRiviere, obituary
WARREN — Julia M. LaRiviere, 90, died peacefully at home Feb. 10, 2014, after a long illness. She was the widow of Roger LaRiviere, who died Feb. 8, 1974. She was the daughter of Richard and Mary Cotter.
She came to the United States in 1947 at the age of 24 from County Cork, Ireland. She settled in Fairhaven, Mass., where she met and married her husband on April 11, 1953. She was a homemaker.
Julia loved to sew and was a gifted seamstress and made many wonderful things for her family. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathy Yonce of Warren and Mona Leviton of Medway, Mass.; her grandsons, Andrew and Michael; her granddaughters, Rachael and Jenny; and her great-grandson, Parker.
A private burial will be held this summer in Massachusetts.
Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home in Rockland.
