VINALHAVEN — Julie Haley, 61, of Vinalhaven, passed away in her home surrounded by family on the morning of May 25. She battled with cancer for years, and it is what eventually took her from us. 

Julie worked so hard her whole life, serving others far more than she would ever serve herself. She was a caregiver on Vinalhaven for over 40 years, allowing others to be able to stay home in their final days. She held many jobs throughout her years, but her favorite title was “Gram”. Julie adored her grandsons. 

She is survived by her children, Brandon Lazaro and Catherine Haley; four grandsons; brothers Geno, Joe and Alan; sisters Donna, Puggy, Lanie and Sophie.

She was predeceased by her parents and nephew, Connor.  

Services will be held on August 3, 2025 and will be announced.
