ST. GEORGE — Jolene Gloria Long, 55, lost her courageous battle with cancer December 17, 2020.

Jolene was born at Knox General Hospital, in Rockland, on September 29, 1965, to Joseph Austin Long and Josephine Louise Cushman. She was raised in St. George and attended local schools.

Jolene was a social butterfly with a warm, welcoming smile. Her magical personality could light up any room. Her laughter was contagious, and her beautiful soul filled with immeasurable love. Music made her feel; she was usually cranking her favorite tunes, dancing around, and singing along.

She was an exceptionally hard worker and the most proud and dedicated mother to her daughter, Jade Long. Jolene was often found at the beach, collecting treasures and soaking up the sun. She touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be missed greatly.

Jolene was predeceased by her maternal grandparents, paternal grandfather, and two nephews.

She is survived by her daughter, Jade Long; parents Joseph Long & Josephine Cushman; paternal grandmother, Sally Long; her nine siblings and their families: Joel Long, Jason Long, Cheryl Long, Jarred Long, Justin Long, Michael Long, Denessa Benner-Hildings, Kristina Long, and Hilary Long; as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends that she made family.

Friends and family are welcome to a walk-thru visitation Monday, December 28, 2020, from 5 to 7 p.m., at Burpee, Carpenter, Hutchins, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland. Due to COVID restrictions, all guest are asked to wear a mask, enter and then exit the building after a brief visit, giving all those in attendance the time and distance to greet the family.
