John P. Berry, obituary
UNION — John Patrick “Johnny” Berry, 59, who grew up in North Berwick, passed away suddenly and peacefully on March 1, 2016, at Crawford Commons.
Born on Saint Patrick's Day, March 17, 1956, in Rochester, N.H., he was the son of John F. and Jacquelyn “Jackie” Berry. A 1974 graduate of Noble High School, John enjoyed fishing, music and family gatherings.
John is survived by his sister, Kathryn Paradis of North Berwick; his brother, Scott Berry of Berwick; a daughter, Emily and her husband, Joe Gaddis, of Berwick; three grandchildren, Kayla Colby, Cameron Gaddis and Lily Gaddis. He also leaves behind a nephew, Wayne and his wife, Shaye Paradis, of Wiscasset, and their children, Eliza and Lucas; and a niece, Shana and her husband, Leon Genre, of Portland, and their son, Wilder; as well as many wonderful aunts, uncles and cousins.
John was predeceased by his father in 1963; a brother Michael in 1970; and a sister, Carol Jean Squier in 1996.
John will be dearly missed by his family.
His family would like to thank the staff of Crawford Commons for looking after him and making him feel accepted and at home, and to Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home for their tender and professional care of John's remains.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2 at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church in North Berwick, with the Rev. Dr. Paul Day officiating.
