ROCKLAND — Jennifer Mazurek has joined Bar Harbor Bank and Trust as senior vice president, retail banking operations and treasury support manager.

With an office at the Bank’s Rockland branch, Mazurek supports the day-to-day operations of the branches, making sure the right systems and processes are in place to provide outstanding customer experiences, while complying with banking regulations.

“A creative problem solver and leader, Jennifer has the technical, communication, interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills to motivate teams to reach their full potential,” said Rick Maltz, EVP, COO and Chief Risk Officer at Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, in a news release.

“With a banking career spanning nearly 30 years, Jennifer has a wealth of experience.” he said. “Over the years she has assumed various leadership positions of increasing responsibility, having started out as an Assistant Auditor. Her last position, prior to joining Bar Harbor Bank and Trust, was senior vice president, director of audit and compliance at Camden National Bank.

Mazurek grew up in Rockland and is a graduate of Rockland District High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems from Husson University.  Mazurek holds a Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager designation, which is the standard of excellence for compliance professionals in the financial services area, demonstrating her expertise in the regulatory compliance field. 

She is an active member of the Maine Bankers Association and the American Bankers Association.

In her community, Mazurek participates in the annual Teach Children to Save Day, delivering financial literacy lessons to students in local schools. 

She is vice president, board member and chair of the Family Selection Committee for Midcoast Habitat for Humanity and has been involved with this organization for many years. 

For leisure activities Mazurek enjoys working out, playing golf and spending quality time with family and friends.

She and her husband, Richard, live in Rockland and have two children.
