Islesboro soccer, Medomak Valley football sit atop divisions

As the month of September comes to a close, the Penobscot Bay Pilot sports department is taking a look at how each of the area’s high school soccer, field hockey and football teams are performing this fall, and how the win-loss records stack up in their respective divisions.

A few notables stand out when looking at the standings, as of Sept. 25:

The Islesboro boys soccer team, despite only having two wins in as many games, has soared to first place in the divisional standings. The Eagles edge out a 6-0 Greenville squad by 2.14 points.

• To little surprise, both soccer teams at Camden Hills, again, are performing well with the boys in second place and the girls in third.

• The Medomak Valley football team is sitting atop its divisional standings while the Belfast field hockey team sits in second.
