Islesboro Police beat: Alarms, house checks and hunting checks
ISLESBORO — The Islesboro Police Department reported the following activity for Oct. 5-18, 2015. An arrest or summons does not constitute a finding of guilt.
Oct. 8
· Public Safety Director Fred Porter received a suspicious activity complaint on Pendleton Point Road; under investigation.
· Porter received a suspicious activity complaint on Meadow Pond Road; under investigation.
· Porter responded to an alarm on Pendleton Point Road; complaint resolved.
Oct. 9
· Porter conducted an agency assist with the Islesboro Central School.
Oct. 10
· Office Nickolas Von Husen responded to a car-deer crash on Main Road; Jerome Reynolds IV, 18, of Liberty, struck a deer heading south on Main Road.
· Von Husen conducted an agency assist with Islesboro EMS.
· Von Husen responded to an alarm on Abrams Mountain Road; complaint resolved.
Oct. 14
· Porter responded to an alarm on Ellis Lane; complaint resolved.
· Porter conducted house checks on Pendleton Point Road; all properties were found to be secure.
Oct. 16
· Porter received a report of an alarm on Otter Creek Lane; complaint resolved.
Oct. 17
· Porter responded to a theft complaint on Keller Point Road; under investigation.
· Porter conducted house checks on West Bay Road, Wood Lane and Pendleton Point Road; all properties were found to be secure.
· Porter received a report of a traffic hazard on Main Road; cones were placed at the scene.
· Porter conducted a hunting detail on Main and Meadow roads; three hunters checked; no violations.
