“HR for Nonprofits” workshop with United Midcoast Charities, Jan. 8
CAMDEN — United Midcoast Charities (UMC) announces its next LEARN@UMC workshop, “HR for Nonprofits”, which will be held on Wednesday, January 8, from 9 to 10:30 a.m., at the UMC office in Camden.
UMC is partnering with Mariah Lussier of Bangor Savings Bank to discuss Payroll and HR solutions for nonprofits and to review Maine’s new Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program set to begin in 2026.
"This benefit ranks among the most generous state-managed paid leave programs in the country," said UMC, in a news release. "Nearly all public and private sector employees will be eligible for leave when the Program begins on January 1, 2026. It’s essential to note that the state will start assessing the 1% payroll tax on January 1, 2025."
Registration is now open.
This workshop is free for current UMC grantee organizations, and open to area nonprofits for a $20 fee.
"Space is limited so RSVP right away," said UMC.
Please call 207-236-2299 or email admin@unitedmidcoastcharities.org to register.
