Herbert (Sonny) Hickman passed away peacefully at his home in Sumter, S.C., on August 1, 2017 of complications with cancer.

Born in Rockland, he was the son of Robert and Olive Hickman Kearly.

He was raised in Rockland and Damariscotta. He married his wife, Joyce L Hickman, and moved to Camden

Sonny was predeceased by his loving wife, Joyce L Hickman; his grandson, Timothy J Woods, and his parents, Robert and Olive (Kearly) Hickman.

He is survived by his sons, Chris Hickman and his wife, Elizabeth, of West Virginia; Mark Hickman and his wife, Sue, of Sumte,r S.C.; Todd Hickman, of Sumter, S.C., and his daughter, Tammy Patten, and her husband, David, of Appleton; as well as grandchildren Mark, Todd, Allen, Nicholas, Jessica, Tara and Jedidiah and several great grandchildren.

As wished by Sonny, there will be no service
