Greene man injured hauling trees on his property

GREENE — Maine State Police said Monday that a Greene man is "lucky to be alive" after the farm tractor he was driving flipped over and pinned him underneath Saturday afternoon.
According to Department of Public Safety Spokesman Steve McCausland, 42-year-old Kenneth Bragdon was hauling trees on his property on Buzzell Lane when a tree being dragged snagged on another. This caused the 1953 Farmall tractor Bradon was on to overturn.
Trooper Nathan Jamo said Buzzell was trapped under the tractor for more than two yours in 15 degree Fahrenheit temperatures before he was able to contact a family member by cell phone.
First responders from the Greene Fire Department respond to the scene and freed Bagdon. He was then transported to a waiting LifeFlight of Maine helicopter.
Bragdon is currently at Central Maine Medical Center, and being treated for unspecified internal injuries.
"Jamo said the chain being used to haul the logs was attached too high to the rear of the tractor and caused it to flip end-over-end," according to McCausland.
