TENANTS HARBOR — Jackson Memorial Library, in Tenants Harbor, will host an exhibition entitled “Go Fish: The Art of Hand Tied Lures” featuring artists Maryfaith Morison and Cade Nickels. The show begins May 13 and runs through June 29.

Maryfaith is immersed in the Maine artists community as a founding member of Press Hard, a printmaking collective and a member of the Waterfall Arts collaborative. At Waterfall Arts, she teaches classes in Intaglio Etching. Her journey into printmaking developed from a life long drawing practice and long career in jewelry/metalsmithing. The current body of her artistic work is abstracted from nature and examine themes of the fragility of life and the repetition of certain structures throughout diverse life forms.

Cade Nickels is known in Midcoast Maine and beyond as an excellent fly-tier and avid fisherman, according to Jackson Memorial, in a news release. He is also a vociferous activist, championing the fish native to Maine and an advocate of keeping waterways hospitable and open to these endangered species.

All art sale proceeds benefit the library community programs.
