BELFAST — To meet the expanded needs caused by the Covid-19 pandemic the Game Loft/I Know ME has increased its food program.

For the past 20 years the Game Loft has provided free meals after school to any young person who came to the Game Loft facility on weekdays or Friday evenings. Since March of this year meals have been provided on a grab-and-go basis seven days a week.

In August, Game Loft/I Know ME vans began delivering care packages of fresh produce and dry goods, along with books and sanitary items to local families.

Finally, beginning this December the Game Loft/I Know ME program has begun delivering prepared and ready to heat meals to families across Waldo County on Saturdays and Sundays.

All meals are free and meet USDA standards for balanced nutrition.

“The Game Loft/I Know ME is proud to continue to serve and meet the needs of the Waldo County community throughout the Covid-19 pandemic,” said Game Loft, in a news release.
