CAMDEN — Merryspring Nature Center and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District will provide free takeaway Explorer Kits for children and their families, available for pickup at Merryspring Nature Center starting on Wednesday, July 20, at 9 a.m.

For the third consecutive year, Merryspring Nature Center and Knox-Lincoln Soil & Water Conservation District have partnered to bring back their popular Explorer Kits program for the 2022 season. Explorer Kits are free take-home activities designed to inspire outdoor exploration and independent learning.

Each Wednesday between July 20 and August 17 a different Explorer Kit will be available for pickup at Merryspring. The Kits will feature instructions, materials, and ideas best suited for children ages 4 to 9, with each week presenting a new surprise activity and theme.

A total of 30 Explorer Kits will be available each week on a first-come, first-served basis. The Explorer Kits can be picked up from a box in front of Merryspring’s Ross Center each Wednesday at 9 a.m.

Explorer Kits are free to all, but donations are accepted. For more information on Explorer Kits, please contact Merryspring at education@merryspring.org or 207-236-2239.
