Festival of Trees and Wreaths, Holiday Book Sale at Rockland library, Nov. 30
ROCKLAND — The Friends of the Rockland Public Library will hold its annual Festival of Trees and Wreaths silent auction on Saturday, November 30, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., at the Rockland Public Library. Raffle tickets will be on sale for several of the decorated trees; tickets are two for $5.
The auction features more than 30 decorated tabletop trees and wreaths. Generous local businesses trim each tree and wreath in inventive ways often including gift certificates. The Library will be decorated in the holiday spirit as well, with refreshments available throughout the afternoon.
Everyone is invited to stop in, enjoy some holiday cheer, see familiar faces and bid on your favorite tree or wreath. All proceeds from the auction go directly to support the Rockland Public Library.
In addition, the Friends will be holding a Holiday Book Sale, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Community Room in the Library’s lower level. High quality hardback books, coffee table gems, and a variety of other items suitable for holiday gift giving will offer something for every booklover. Friends members may shop early, at 10:30 a.m.
"The Friends of the Rockland Public Library is grateful to the many local businesses that donate their time and creativity to the auction each holiday season and for their support of the Library throughout the year," said Friends, in a news release.
