Ethlyn May (Hamilton) Roberts left this earth Monday, September 21, 2020, at 8:30 p.m., dancing with the angels of God!

Ethlyn was the first daughter of Raymond and Cora Edith (Walker) Hamilton born May 2, 1944, in Belfast, Maine! What a jewel she was in their eyes! She was named after her aunt Ethlyn Cole Hamilton of Searsport, Maine. Ethlyn was known for knitting scarves for a lot of people and giving her love to those people just as freely!

In addition to her parents, Ethlyn was predeceased by her husband, John Roberts; brother, Raymond Hamilton; brothers-in-law, William Sawyer and Douglas Herrick; niece Faith Roderick; and nephew Eugene Pomeroy.

She has left behind her sisters: Ramona L. Sawyer of Stockton Springs, Donna Herrick of Hancock, Janice Hamilton and her fiancé Pete LaChance of Brunswick, and Suzanne and her husband Charles Wuori of Virginia Beach, Virginia; nieces and nephews Anthony Joel Roderick of Unity, Daniel Herrick and wife Tammy, Coralee and Donald Dewey, all of Hancock, Heatherlyn and her husband Jason Chronis of Littleton, Colorado, Guy Raymond Wuori of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and “brother” Shawn Van Cleave of Virginia Beach, Virginia; as well as many cousins, great-nieces, great-nephews and friends.

Ethlyn’s good friend Vicki is now caretaker of Bubbles, Ethlyn’s beloved dog!

Our Joy, Ethlyn, is now God’s Joy!

Due to current restrictions on gatherings, services will be held in the spring of 2021 and announced at a later date.

Arrangements are in the care of Riposta Funeral Home, Belfast.
