Elise Brown has experience, integrity and heart to serve Waldo County District 3 as commissioner
I’m writing to share why I believe Elise Brown is the best choice for Waldo County Commissioner in District 3.
Although I don’t live in Waldo County and can’t vote for her, I’ve worked closely with Elise for over 15 years at Evergreen Home Performance and have seen firsthand her character, work ethic, and deep commitment to her community.
As a co-owner with Elise, I’ve valued her leadership in our energy efficiency business of more than three dozen employees, serving customers while growing our company to become the largest Efficiency Maine weatherization vendor.
She’s astute with finances—constantly monitoring budgets, ensuring we stay frugal, and making smart investments that help our business thrive.
I’m confident she’ll bring the same fiscal responsibility and wise decision-making to the county’s budget.
What truly sets Elise apart is her ability to bring people together, even when opinions differ. I’ve seen her earn trust by being a good listener and facilitating tough discussions, helping people find common ground and moving everyone forward with a shared solution. This rare skill will be a huge asset as County Commissioner, where consensus is often needed on complex issues. I’ve also admired Elise’s dedication to public service.
For over a decade, I’ve seen her spend days off work at Evergreen to be serving her community as an EMT, Emergency Management Director, and through other acts of service to her neighbors. Her deep care for Waldo County is evident in everything she does.
Elise has the experience, integrity, and heart to serve District 3 well. I hope voters recognize her value and vote for her this November.
