Eileen M. Estes, obituary
BELFAST — Eileen M. Estes, 89 of Belfast, passed away June 30 in Westbrook.
She was born in Castine April 23, 1931 to James and Dorothy (Leach) MacMahan. Eileen graduated Class of 1949 from Crosby High School where she was active in acting and writing.
She was a well-known beautician in the area, an avid golfer and Girl Scout leader, Troop 178. Eileen was a member of First Church in Belfast since 1952 where she sang in the choir, worked on public suppers and was a member of the 8 O'Clock Club and many other committees.
She was predeceased by both parents; her husband, George R. Estes; beloved step-father, Walter Clements; a loved daughter-in-law, Syria Keller; brother Jim MacMahan and sisters Edna Loberg, Doris Blood and Olive Robbins.
Eileen is survived by her children: Nancy Harvey of Belfast; Vicki Keller and friend Jeffery of Belmont, Ken Estes and wife Teri of Benton, Kansas, Douglas Estes and wife Libby of Windham; sisters-in-law Dorothy MacMahan, Arlene Dinnegan, Olive Estes, Mary Rowell; grandchildren Jennifer and husband Tom, Matt and wife Susan, Sam Estes, Bradley Estes and Caroline Estes, Jay Keller and Sarah Keller, Brent Keller, Nancy Williamson and husband Nathan, Adrienne Estes, Paige Estes, Michelle Wood and husband Tim, Howard Harvey; great-grandchildren Chase Keller and Amanda Wood and special friend Becky Miller.
Services will be held and announced when able to gather again.
