DSA United soccer club sends 10 of 11 teams to finals round of Premier League

WARREN — Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, the DSA United soccer club was able to field 11 teams — seven in the boys division and four in the girls division — this spring to play in Soccer Maine’s highest club level, the Premier League. 

Ten of those 11 teams qualified to participate in finals play for their age group to be held either the weekend of June 5-6 or June 12-13 in Freeport, Standish or Portland. 

Below is a recap of how the spring season has gone for each of the 11 DSA United soccer teams. 
 

DSA United Boys 19U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 2-1-3 record with wins over River City (2-0) and Acadia Fire (1-0). The loss came against Rosevelt (2-0). The draws came against Maine Lightning (2-2, 1-1) and Central Maine (3-3). 

Players on the team include Eric Andrews, Nick Archer, Miguel Atkinson Tatro, Micah Betters, Cameron Brown, Samuel Brownawell, Zachary Cheesman, Tate Clough, Michele De Guglielmi, Filip Diakonowicz, Jack Duncan, Jackson Fitch, Isma’il McMillan, Addison Mellor, Collin Scobie, William Smith, Ethan Sokoloski, Braeden Soule and James Weinand. The team is closed by Kirk Soule and Daniel Williams. 

DSA United Boys 16U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 5-0-1 record with wins over Maine Lightning (3-1), Seacoast (12-0, 2-0), Rosevelt (2-0) and Central Maine (3-2). The draw came against Central Maine (1-1). 

The state championship will be held Sunday, June 6 against Central Maine at Freeport High School at 2 p.m.

Players on the team include Mason Clark, Avery Hackett, Samuel Hebert, Yousif Ibrahim, Ezra Landry, Chase McLaughlin, Luke McLaughlin, Lucas Moody, Miles Murray, Jacob Nisby, Jordan Peasley, Eli Pluecker, Jaxson Roderick, Brady Roy, Owen Sweeney and Isaac Thompson. DSA United Boys 15U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 4-0-2 record with wins over Acadia Fire (3-1, 3-2), Maine Lightning (1-0) and Seacoast (9-2). The draws came against Rosevelt (1-1) and Seacoast (2-2). 

The state championship will be held Sunday, June 6 against Rosevelt at Freeport High School at 4 p.m.

Players on the team include Roan Aldridge-Peacock, Ryan Andersen, Conor Cass, Travis Dube, Will Duke, Casey Duncan, Finlay Fitch, Harrison Garcia, Breck Holladay, Mica Houghton, Oliver McNamara, Vishal Mellor, Zan Nguyen, Charlie Pons, Nevan Power and Austin Trask. The team is coached by Yuri Nascimento and Robbie Krul. 

DSA United Boys 14U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 6-0 record with wins over Central Maine (9-2), Rosevelt (5-1, 9-0), River City (5-0), Maine Lightning (3-0) and Seacoast (5-2). 

The state championship will be held Saturday, June 5 against Seacoast at Fitzpatrick Stadium at 2:15 p.m.

Players on the team include Liam Belyea, Colby Bennett, Robert Conover, Evan Constantine, Liam Day-Lynch, Jacob Dening, Boston Enggass, Otis Frost, Jasper Hackett, Sam Hayes, Kallen Laslie, Charlie Nicolet, Mac Pierce, Nestor Powers, Noah Teel, Peter Thelander, Miles Tolliver and Morgan Waltz. The team is coached by Robbie Krul and Chad Sisson. 

DSA United Boys 13U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 4-2 record with wins over Velocity (7-0, 11-1), Central Maine (5-1), Rosevelt (11-0). The losses came against River City (4-2) and Central Maine (4-3). 

The state championship will be held Saturday, June 5 against Central Maine at Fitzpatrick Stadium at 12:15 p.m.

Players on the team include Liam Andersen, Oscar Barnes, Simon Bishop, Mason Contakos, Dom Domareki, Thomas Geddis, Carver Heyniger, Brian Leonard, Samuel Mather, Connor Middleton, Brandon Nelson, Tanner Oathout, Taisen Pilotte, Alexander Reitchel, Owen Robichaud, Kaden Self, Luke Tobias and Elliot Trott. The team is coached by Joshua Mahar and Robbie Krul. 

DSA United Boys 12U (09) 

In six matches, DSA posted a 6-0 record with wins over Acadia Fire (5-0), Central Maine (8-0), Maine Lightning (8-3), Seacoast (7-0) and Rosevelt (6-0). 

DSA will participate Saturday, June 12 in the state semifinals against Acadia Fire. The winner of the semifinal will play in the state championship Sunday, June 13 against the winner of the Maine Lightning 12U versus DSA United 11U semifinal game. 

Players on the team include Henk Abess, Lucas Fachiol, William Frost, James Hanley, Cole Hedrich, Thomas Hennessy, Soren Johnson, Thomas McKenzie, Lucas Novicka, Joseph F. Scordino, Jack Thornell, Leo Vietze, Silas White, Tucker Whitley and Molly Williams. 

DSA United Boys 11U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 4-1-1 record with wins over River City (5-2), Seacoast United (3-1), Rosevelt (4-1) and Central Maine (1-0). The loss came against Maine Lightning 12U (4-0) and the draw against Maine Lightning 11U (3-3). 

DSA will participate Saturday, June 12 in the state semifinals against Maine Lightning 11U. The winner of the semifinal will play in the state championship Sunday, June 13 against the winner of the DSA United 12U versus Acadia Fire semifinal game. 

Players on the team include Brodie Archer, Sam Bernadino, Hector Clayton, Victor Clayton, Riley Cole, Quinn Commeau, Eli Field, James Helmstetter, Emmett Milliken, Oliver Mitchell, Wesley Overlock, Quin Smith and Logan Snyder. The team is coached by Robbie Krul, Donald Helmstetter and Chad Sisson. 

DSA United Girls 12U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 5-0-1 record with wins over River City (11-1, 7-3), Central Maine (10-2), Velocity (9-0), Rosevelt (3-1) and River City (7-3). The draw came against Rosevelt (3-3). 

DSA will participate Sunday, June 11 in the state championship against Rosevelt. 

Players on the team include Maia Andrews, Yzze Bhe, Anna Cheesman, Eve Domareki, Liv Domareki, Payton Guerrette, Caroline Harper, Rita Haslam, Stella McCarthy, Cate Middleton, Nathalie Nelson, Summer Staples, Hudson Wallace and Molly Williams. The team is coached by Bethany Lebel and Kali McCarthy. The team is coached by Joseph Frank Scordino, Daniel Williams and Robbie Krul. 

DSA United Girls 15U

In six matches, DSA posted a 6-0 record with wins over Central Maine (8-0), Seacoast (4-0, 3-1), Acadia Fire (10-0), River City (5-2)

DSA will participate Sunday, June 6 in the state championship against River City at Freeport High School at 10 a.m. 

Players on the team include Haylee Chandler, Zoe Cheney, Ada Curry, Zofie Day, Isabelle DeBrosky, Kaylee Feeney, Scarlett Flint, Sophia Helmstetter, Amelia Johnson, Natalee Orr, Ava Philbrook, Emily Richards, MaKayla Self, Leah Snyder, Jordan Space, Trysten Spillar, Madeline Tohanczyn, Rose Tohanczyn and Grace Wesbrock. The team is coached by Robbie Krul, Tammy Krul and Yuri Nascimento. 

DSA United Girls 17U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 3-2-1 record with wins over Brunswick (12-0, 9-3) and Central Maine (6-2). The losses came against Velocity (2-0) and River City (3-0). The draw came against Central Maine (2-2).

DSA will participate Sunday, June 6 in the state championship against River City at St. Joseph’s College at 3 p.m.

Players on the team include Kara Andrews, Jordan Berry, Lily Caban, Sabine Costello-Sanders, Vilma Gaia Daul, Alexandra Dening, Britta Denny, Nicole Hammond, Skyler Houghton, Catarina Johnson, Darian Langille, Marley LeBel, Abbie Lerman, Elise Mahar, Taylor Marston, Sophia Pilotte, Lily Stowe, Auren Teel and Addie Watson. The team is coached by Tammy Krul and Robbie Krul. 

DSA United Girls 19U 

In six matches, DSA posted a 6-0 record with wins over Central Maine (1-0, 5-0), Velocity (9-0), Rosevelt (5-0), Maine Lightning (4-0) and Seacoast (4-0). 

DSA will participate Sunday, June 6 in the state championship against Central Maine at St. Joseph’s College at 11 a.m. 

Players on the team include Anya Babb-Brott, Shea Cheney, Caroline Contento, Delaney Feeney, Emily Harper, Adie Hughes, Gemma Landry, Addison Laslie, Julie Mattson, Mary Kate Pons, Ella Powers, Riley Reitchel, Mackenzie Roderick, Lauren Schenk, Evelyn Selser, Cloe Sisson, Sydney Stone, Ali Tassoni, Natalie Tracy, Lelia Weir and Tessa Whitley. The team is coached by Daniel Williams and Tammy Krul.
