BELFAST — The Dinner Anywhere in the World Raffle sponsored by the Unitarian Universalist Church of Belfast is back. Last year’s winner went to Uruguay. This year’s winner will have even more prize options, according to UUC, in a news release:

    A.  For travel outside of the U.S.A.: Two round-trip airline flights, dinner for two at a restaurant of his or her choice, and  two nights hotel accommodations for two (the “Prize”). The destination and restaurant will be selected by the Winner. UUCB will select the airline and accommodations in consultation with the winner.

    B.  For travel within the U.S.A.: Two round trip airline flights, or other transportation of choice, two dinners for two at restaurants of his or her choice, and four nights accommodations for two (the “Prize”). The destination and restaurant will be selected by the Winner. UUCB will select the airline and accommodations in consultation with the winner.

    C.  If Winner wants to stay within New England, submit a proposal to UUCB. For example, rent a cottage on a lake for a week and host a lobster bake for your family reunion. This is limited only by your creativity and wishes!

The maximum prize value is $5000 and any unspent prize funds will be used to purchase carbon offsets from carbonfund.org. Tickets are available Tuesdays and Fridays, from 1 to 5 p.m., at the Unitarian Universalist Church office: 37 Miller Street, Belfast (338-4482), at The Green Store: 71 Main Street, Belfast (338-4045), or from most members of the congregation.

Imagine your culinary dreams realized: dining at the French Laundry or Octavia in California; Chef’s Table or Eleven Madison Park in New York; Le Grand Vefour or Garance in France; Osteria Francescana in Italy; Faviken in Sweden; Gaggan in Thailand; Victor Gutierrez in Argentina; or, do as last year’s winner did and go to Garzon in Uruguay.

“The possibilities are as endless as your imagination,” said UUC.
