OWLS HEAD — Dawn M. Strickland, 51, died unexpectedly at home, Wednesday, March 26, 2025. Born in Rockland, April 5, 1973, she was the daughter of Pamela C. Stone. Educated locally Dawn was a 1991 graduate of Rockland District High School.

Always with a heart for helping others, Dawn began her career in the health care field. When her daughter was born, she became a stay-at-home mom, devoted to caring for her every need.

When not busy at work, Dawn enjoyed helping her daughter work in the garden, watching her ‘grand-dogs’ and spending time with her companion of 22 years, Michael Estey.

Dawn had a heart of gold and would do anything to help others. She will be sadly missed by all who loved her.

Predeceased by her mother, Pamela Stone Strickland; Dawn is survived by her daughter, Nicole Strickland; her companion, Michael Estey; two aunts, Frances Jones, Jessica Stone; an uncle, Charles Stone; a great-uncle, Ivan Stone and his wife Janis; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Dawn’s family has chosen to remember her life privately.
