David Statman has my vote for Rockland City Council
Does Rockland want a retired physics professor as a member of the City Council?
David Statman is grounded in the practical aspects of life, food, housing, community connection, and healthy surroundings. I welcome David to this community and admire how quickly he has talked with so many people of different backgrounds during the past seven years he has owned a home here.
He immediately got involved on the boards of AIO, The Good Tern Natural Foods Coop, is president of the Congregation Adas Yashuron, and volunteers at the soup kitchen of Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church. Rockland’s core needs interest him. For over 30 years he has worked with college students, faculty committees, and a community school. David is a genuine, careful listener and a compassionate leader.
After living in several cities and countries, he chose Rockland for his retirement. I met him over Zoom and saw his kind, collaborative approach to crafting sensible, uncomplicated solutions.
He appreciates what Rockland is, and wants to strengthen its best features. He has been watching City Council meetings for current issues and viewed past videos of key topics discussed over the years.
This is a professor that does his homework.
David has my vote for Rockland City Council.
