It was a humid, yet dry, start for the athletes who took to the streets of Rockland, Sunday morning, Aug. 4, 2024, for the Maine Lobster Festival’s annual 5K and 10K running races. 

Both races began simultaneously on Downtown Main Street, briefly shutting down the intersection of Park and Main, courtesy of Rockland Police Dept.; the 10K runners started on one side of Park Street, and the 5K runners and walkers began on the other side of the intersection. 

The children’s fun run started later.
