CAMDEN — If you like country music, and dancing, Reny’s Plaza will be the place to be tonight, Thursday, Aug. 20, when K2 Music presents an outdoor Country Showcase.

As the work day winds down, the center parking lot that is home to K2, Reny’s, Scott’s Place and other businesses will be closed to traffic and a stage will go up. Then at 6 p.m., the music starts and a variety of musicians, including a house band, will play until 9 p.m.

Thursday night’s house band will include Fred “Tommy” Thompson on pedal steel guitar, Ginny Palmer on bass guitar, Chris Fyfe on keys and Phil Clement on guitar. The evening will feature many local Maine artists, and Scott’s Place will be open late for “good eats.”

Bring a lawn chair and your dancing boots, as the show is free, with donations for the house band appreciated.
