Community paddle, partial proceeds pizza event with Georges River Land Trust
Join Georges River Land Trust on Sunday, July 27 for a group paddle along the St. George River from Warren town center. Stop by St. George Pizza before the paddle for a partial proceeds brunch and pizza party supporting local conservation work in the watershed.
10am-2pm Visit St. George Pizza in Warren for brunch, pizza, and ice cream with partial proceeds supporting the land trust's work to conserve and care for the watershed. Stop by the land trust’s table, where staff will provide information about the land trust’s new paddling trail.
St. George Pizza is located at 310 Main St. in Warren. No reservations are needed. Outdoor seating is available on their patio.
"Come on in and enjoy their beautiful spot along the river," said GRLT, in a news release.
2pm-3:30pm Bring your canoe, kayak, or paddle board for a group paddle on the St. George River. Parking and river access is available at Riverside Drive in Warren.
Paddlers should bring their own personal flotation device. All paddlers are required to have one accessible to them on the water by Maine law. Children under 10 must wear a PFD at all times while on the water.
