THORNDIKE —  Eight people were injured today, Oct. 16, in the collision  of two vans on Route 220 in Thorndike.  Seven were students from the College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor.  

State Police said the van carrying the college students attempted to turn onto the Crosby Brook Road and into the path of the second van. The Injured were taken to Inland Hospital in Waterville and Waldo General Hospital in Belfast.

One person was Lifeflighted to EMMC in Bangor.  

The most serious injuries were a broken wrist and  some facial injuries.  

State Police today released the names of the ten people involved in yesterday’s crash of two vans on Route 220 in Thorndike.   

Driver of the van traveling southbound: Benjamin Stowe, 64, of Pennsylvania, was taken to Waldo General with wrist and leg injuries.
