"Climate and ME" climate action workshop at Rockland library, Jan. 23
ROCKLAND — The Rockland Public Library presents Molly Siegel on Thursday, Jan. 23, at 6 p.m. The event is free and open to all.
Join Molly Siegel, Maine Climate Council Coordinator with the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future, to learn about Maine’s climate action plan, Maine Won’t Wait.
Maine Won’t Wait is the state’s four-year climate action plan from the Maine Climate Council that puts Maine on a trajectory to decrease greenhouse gas emissions, boost renewable energy sources, and protect the state's natural resources, communities, and people from the effects of climate change.
"Learn more about the plan and how you can take action in your own life," said RPL, in a news release.
Amalia (Molly) Siegel is the Maine Climate Council Coordinator with the Governor’s Office of Policy Innovation and the Future. Prior to joining GOPIF, Siegel was the Program Manager for Electric Vehicle Initiatives at Efficiency Maine, where she worked on implementing the state’s climate action goals in the transportation sector. Siegel played a key role in developing the state’s first Plan for EV Infrastructure Deployment, working with state agencies and leaders in the transportation sector to build a plan for expanding public EV infrastructure in Maine.
"Molly brings experience in community development, stakeholder engagement, and project management to the team," said RPL.
Siegel has a Bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Dartmouth College.
This event will take place in-person, in the library’s Community Room, and will be livestreamed via Zoom.
