Circus performer Janoah the Jester brings act to Strand’s Family Sunshine Series

Saturday, August 08, 2026 - 02:00 pmJanoah the Jester (aka Janoah Bailin) will bring “mAyHeM,” an interactive performance of juggling, unicycling, and feats of balance, to the Strand Theatre’s "Family Sunshine Series" on Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. The show will take place outdoors at the Safe Harbor Gazebo, 60 Ocean St., in Rockland, and admission is on a $0-20 sliding scale.
Bailin invites audiences of all ages to participate in entertaining yet caring ways, facilitating comfort for everyone on stage.
"Janoah lets his joy and queerness shine, relying on the audience to co-create this frenzied family-friendly feature," said a Strand news release.
Adelaide Staples and Mike Miller, the first place winners of a recent talent show at Oceanside High School, will open the show with a musical performance.
The show has a running time of about 60 minutes, and is recommended for all ages.
Tickets are available online at RocklandStrand.com, or by calling the box office at (207) 594-0070. Advance purchase is recommended, according to the Strand; if tickets remain, they will be available at the Safe Harbor Gazebo starting 30 minutes prior to the performance.
In case of inclement weather, this show will take place at the Strand Theatre.

About Janoah Bailin
Janoah Bailin makes insightful, inventive, and interactive family circus. As a teenager, he toured New England with Circus Smirkus; Janoah is now Assistant Director for the Gym Dandies Children’s Circus (ME), and coach for the Children’s Circus of Middletown (CT). Since 2017 Janoah has created and toured five original full-length performances. “SpinS” twirled across the Canadian Fringe circuit from Montreal to Vancouver, winning “Best Variety” in London 2019. “mAyhEm” – Janoah’s busking-style circus – won “Pick of the Kids Fringe” in Orlando 2023.
