LINCOLNVILLE — Before the leaves began to change, children joined Tanglewood Camp Director Jessica Decke for a hands-on demonstration of cider pressing. The event took place during Tanglewood’s annual Fall Family Festival, Saturday, Oct. 6.

“Cider is just apple juice made from quality apples,” Decke said.

All that was needed was a press with a sieve lining the bottom, muscle strength, patience, and perhaps some cooking time to ward off any germs.
