Children’s Theatre brings “Red Riding Hood” to Thomaston, April 25
THOMASTON — Just in time for spring break, theater artists from the Children's Museum & Theatre of Maine are bringing their fast-paced, "laugh-out-loud" retelling of Red Riding Hood to Watts Hall Community Arts (174 Main St., Thomaston) for a special morning performance Friday, April 25, at 10:30 a.m.
In this whimsical and high-energy show, the self-proclaimed “greatest actor in the world,” Wolfgang, is preparing for a solo theatrical “Extravaganza” when a delivery person arrives with a mysterious package — and accidentally becomes part of the play. The result is a two-actor whirlwind of storytelling, character-hopping, and hilarious surprises. This version of Red Riding Hood features a bold, clever Red who takes charge of her own story, outsmarting the big bad wolf with style.
"Presented by the Children’s Museum & Theatre of Maine, this production is best enjoyed by children ages 4 and up and promises to be a treat for families looking for a fun and engaging school vacation activity," said Watts Hall Community Arts, in a news release.
Tickets are $12 in advance and $17 at the door. A Family 4-Pack is available for $40 and includes admission for two adults and two children (ages 12 and under). Please note: Family 4-Pack tickets are only available for advance purchase and will not be sold at the door.
