Carl R. Barnaby was born to the late Arthur F. and Avis I. (Adams) Barnaby Sr. on Aug. 15, 1936, in Stoneham, Mass. He passed peacefully to his rest on May 13, 2014, in Belfast.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Elizabeth (Fessenden) Barnaby; three daughters, Sheryl and Bryan Calhoun, Rhonda and Evan Peak, and Sharon and James Shinn; eight grandchildren, Jennifer, Stephanie and Allison Calhoun, Justin, Elise and Layton Peak, and Kyra and Keanu Shinn. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jamie and Gavin Peak. He will also be missed by Tracie (Neal) Read, who was like a daughter; his brothers, Arthur and Avis Barnaby Jr.; three brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends.

Services will be held at Riposta Funeral Home in Belfast. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to fisherhouse.org or amazingfacts.org.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral will be held Monday, May 19 at 1 p.m., followed by burial at Grove Cemetery, where he will sleep and await the trumpet call of Jesus, the life giver he loved to serve.
