CAMDEN— On Tuesday, January 25, at 6 p.m., the Camden Public Library will be offering a free online class that will teach participants how to turn cardboard into art. Librarian Amy Hand will provide step-by-step instructions for upcycling cardboard scraps into self-portraits in a 90-minute workshop on Zoom.
“People tend to have a lot of cardboard at their houses from online purchases made during the holidays,” says Hand. “We wanted to come up with a fun and creative way for people to turn their trash into a treasure.”
This craft is a great way to teach values that respect the natural world by reusing found materials while also engaging creativity. Visit the “What’s Happening” adult events calendar at librarycamden.org for the full list of materials needed and to register.
